SMART Kaizen Workshops

plan-do-check-act

The Kaizen Workshop, or kaizen blitz as it is sometimes called, is one of the most effective SMART implementation tools we have available to us. It is highly effective in achieving significant measurable results in a very short time.

What is Kaizen?

The literal translation of kaizen is “small improvements everyday” and the approach is simple.

Kaizen , or ‘Continuous Improvement’ is a policy of constantly introducing small incremental changes in a business in order to improve quality and/or efficiency.

This approach assumes that employees are the best people to identify room for improvement, since they see the processes in action all the time.

Define the problem/opportunity, pick the best cross-functional group of people, and fix the process or problem quickly using SMART tools and techniques.

Key kaizen practices and principles include:

  • Just do it
  • Creativity before capital – you don’t need to but the solution
  • Work on the REAL problem, work in the REAL workplace, on the REAL thing, with the REAL facts
  • Problem-solving tools and structure
  • Rapid decision-making

What distinguishes SMART Kaizen Workshops from others?
First, is our passion for understanding your current state “what is happening now”

Secondly, our focus on the ideal state “where you need to be” an doing what is required to get from one place to the other

Helping you achieve breakthrough results – going beyond just incremental improvement
