The Challenge

There many issues that hold back small businesses, these including things such as the state of the economy, the high cost of business insurance and taxes, unavoidable legislation such as the ever increasing burden of Health & Safety, low levels of lending from banks, competition from not just within the UK but now the global market, transport costs, etc. all of which just continue to rise leaving little left in the bank to enable the business to grow to the next level.

The Solution

Business Grants For Small Businesses

There are many options available as the UK government has at last woken up to the fact that SME’s in the UK are massively important to the economy and have at last put aside some monies to support their growth. Here at Smartworxs we have years of experience in helping SME’s gain access to those funds.

Some of the available options are

  • Regional Growth Funds – These are a available but little more complicated than some when applying as different regions often have slightly different rules and conditions of rules. Grants are normally match funded up to £20k. Round 6 of the Regional Growth Fund opened on 19 June 2014. At least £200 million of support is being made available for this round and bidders have until midday on 30 September 2014 to submit their applications to the fund, so if you need support please contact us as soon as possible.
  • Horizon 2020 – An EU initiative to support SME’s – Please contact info@smartworxs.co.uk for further information on this one as to date not all details have been released
